Information Collected Upon Registration: When you create or reconfigure a Feedspot account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, username, password, and email address. Some of this information, for example, your name and username, is listed publicly on our Services, including on your profile page and in search results. Some Services, such as search, public user profiles and viewing Folders or feeds, do not require registration.

Additional Information: You may provide us with optional profile information to make public, such as a short biography, your website, or a picture. We use this information to display and manage your Feedspot profile. We may use your contact information to send you information about our Services or to market to you. You may use your account settings to unsubscribe from notifications from Feedspot. You may also unsubscribe by following the instructions contained within a notification or on our website. You may choose to upload your address book so that we can help you find Feedspot users you know. We use imported address book contacts for this purpose and may suggest people to follow on Feedspot based on those contacts. If you sign up using a single sign-on service such as Facebook, Google, or another supported provider, we use the information received to facilitate registration and login and, where applicable, populate your Feedspot account. You may manage the visibility of profile information from the settings page.

Facebook Login and Information Received from Meta

Feedspot allows users to register for and log in to their Feedspot accounts using Facebook Login, a service provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. When a user chooses Facebook Login and authorizes the requested permissions, Feedspot receives the following information from Facebook:

• Name: Used to populate and display the user's name in their Feedspot account.
• Email address: Used to create the user's Feedspot account and associate the account with the email address provided through Facebook Login.
• Profile picture: Used to populate and display the user's profile picture in their Feedspot account.

How we use Facebook information: We use the name, email address, and profile picture received through Facebook Login to facilitate registration and login and to create and populate the user's Feedspot account. We do not use Facebook Login to access the user's Facebook friends, posts, messages, pages, or other Facebook information.

Retention and deletion: We retain information received through Facebook Login for as long as the user's Feedspot account remains active. When a user deletes their Feedspot account, the name, email address, profile picture, and other associated account information received through Facebook Login are deleted from Feedspot's active databases as part of the account deletion process. Information contained in system backups is removed through our backup retention and expiration process within seven days of account deletion. Users may request deletion of their Feedspot account through the account deletion option described in the Account Deletion section below or by contacting team@feedspot.com. A user who disconnects Facebook Login but keeps their Feedspot account should contact us if they also want information already stored in that Feedspot account deleted.

Third Party Service: Feedspot uses Google Analytics, Google apis and Youtube service. By using Feedspot you agree to be bound by Google's privacy policy.

YouTube API Services: The API Client utilized by Feedspot uses YouTube API Services. If you are utilizing Feedspot Services on YouTube, and as required under our Privacy Policy, you warrant and represent that you have read and agree to YouTube’s Terms of Service of Google’s Privacy Policy, as updated and amended from time to time. Further, in addition to the API Client’s normal procedure for deleting stored data, users can revoke that API Client’s access to their data via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

Cookies: Like many websites, we use "cookie" technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve our Services, but we do not require cookies for many parts of our Services such as searching and looking at public user profiles. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer's hard disk. Feedspot may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Services, and to customize and improve our Services. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. You can instruct your browser, by changing its settings, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. However, some Services may not function properly if you disable cookies.

Log Data: Our servers automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location information, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, search terms, and cookie information. We receive Log Data when you interact with our Services, for example, when you visit our websites or sign in to our Services. Feedspot uses Log Data to operate and secure the Services, troubleshoot errors, monitor performance, understand usage, and measure and improve our Services.

How We Use the Information We Collect

The categories of information we collect and the purposes for which we use them are summarized below. The information collected in a particular case depends on which Feedspot features you use and what information you choose to provide.

• Registration and account information (such as name, username, email address, and password): We use this information to create and maintain your account, authenticate you, provide access to the Services, manage your account settings, and communicate with you about your account and our Services.
• Profile information (such as biography, website, and profile picture): We use this information to populate and display your Feedspot profile and to apply the profile visibility settings you select.
• Address book contacts, if you choose to upload them: We use these contacts to help you find people you know on Feedspot and to suggest Feedspot users you may wish to follow.
• Social login information: When you choose a supported social login provider, we use the information received from that provider to facilitate registration and login and, where applicable, populate your Feedspot account. The information received through Facebook Login is described in the section above.
• Feeds, folders, and content preferences: We use information about the feeds and folders you add and organize to provide Feedspot's feed-reading, content organization, and synchronization features.
• Cookies and session information: We use these to maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand aggregate website usage, support website functionality, and customize and improve the Services.
• Log and device information: We use this information to operate and secure the Services, detect misuse, troubleshoot technical issues, monitor service performance, and understand and improve how the Services are used.
• Search and interaction information: We use search terms and interactions with the Services to process searches, provide requested features, understand usage, and improve our Services.
• Information processed through third-party services: Feedspot uses Google Analytics, Google APIs, and YouTube services. We use Google Analytics information to understand website usage and improve the Services. Information accessed through Google APIs and YouTube API Services is used to provide the relevant integration or functionality requested by the user, subject to the applicable service terms and permissions.

Modifying Your Personal Information: If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools and account settings to access or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account.

RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect about you, to delete any personal information that we collected from or maintain about you, and to opt-out of the sale of personal information about you. You also have the right to designate an agent to exercise these rights on your behalf, subject to verification of that agency relationship. This section describes how to exercise those rights and our process for handling those requests, including our means of verifying your identity. ACCESSING AND DELETING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Right to request deletion of your personal information

You may also request that we delete any personal information that we have collected from/about you. However, we may retain personal information as authorized under applicable law, such as personal information required as necessary to provide our services, protect our business and systems from fraudulent activity, to debug and identify errors that impair existing functionality, as necessary for us, or others, to exercise their free speech or other rights, comply with law enforcement requests pursuant to lawful process, for scientific or historical research, for our own internal purposes reasonably related to your relationship with us, or to comply with legal obligations. We need certain types of information so that we can provide our services. If you ask us to delete it, you may no longer be able to access or use our services.

How to exercise your access and deletion rights

For security purposes, we may request additional information from you to verify your identity when you request to exercise your privacy rights. If you have an online account with us, logging into your account will serve to verify your identity and request, although we may request additional information if we believe your account has been compromised. If you do not have an account with us, or if we have reason to suspect that the security of your account is compromised, we will request additional information from you to match with our existing records to verify your identity, depending on the nature of the request and the sensitivity of the information sought.

ACCOUNT DELETION

You can also permanently delete your Feedspot account. You may request via email at team@feedspot.com. While email is the best way to reach us, you may also call us toll-free at +1 415-286-5452.

For security purposes, we may request additional information from you to verify your identity.

If you have an online account with us, after logging into your account, you may visit delete account section from Account page.

When your account is deleted, information received through Facebook Login (including your name, email address, and profile picture) and associated account information are deleted from Feedspot's active databases as part of the account deletion process, subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain under applicable law. Information contained in system backups is removed through our backup retention and expiration process within seven days of account deletion. Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to access data from that account.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at on this page. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
